I moved to Thailand at the end of October 2024, and not long after settling in, I came across this song called Rain Wedding by Jeff Satur. I didn’t understand a word of it at first, but something about the melody and the topline really stuck with me—it just felt like something I could sing.
So I started digging into it, translating it line by line into English to understand the meaning. Once I had the full translation, I rewrote the lyrics to match the rhyme structure and syllables of the original Thai version, so it would still feel natural when sung.
When I was living in Koh Samui, I got in touch with someone who could help make a music video. We shot it in Tarnim Garden, this beautiful, peaceful Thai garden with moss-covered structures and lush greenery—perfect for the vibe of the song.
After posting it on YouTube and uploading a few clips to TikTok, the response from Thai listeners was really nice. The video has now 60 thousand views on YouTube and the clips even passed 1,5 million views total on TikTok, and I got a lot of support from people here and across Thailand.
